Jointly supported by President, Provost and College of Arts & Sciences, the research facility at the LCI is undergoing a major upgrade to respond to emerging need in flexible microelectronics and biomedical applications of liquid crystals and soft materials. For the last two decades, the device prototype and characterization facility at the LCI has contributed to the industrial and academic liquid crystal community all over the world as the Nation's leading facility in this fast growing area.
The new facility will have expanded capabilities to address emerging need in micro- and nano- fabrication and characterization, and be more accessible to a wider range of users when it re-opens in December. The Grand Opening will celebrate the past accomplishments of the facility and rededication of the upgraded facility and offer presentations detailing the new capabilities and the new opportunities that the new facility will create. A guided facility tour will also be provided.
We cordially invite you to attend the Grand Opening on December 13th.
